Frequently Asked Questions

  • What breed of rabbits do you raise?

We raise New Zealand rabbits, a top choice for meat rabbits due to their size, fast growth, and calm temperament. They’re also great for breeding stock or as homestead additions.

  • What do your rabbits eat?

Our rabbits are fed a clean, Organic/Non-GMO balanced diet of high-quality pellets, fresh hay, and occasional greens. No antibiotics, no hormones — just good nutrition and care.

  • What sizes or ages do you sell your rabbits at?

Kits (young rabbits): $50 each Grow-outs (2–3+ months): $75 each Breeding pair: $150 per pair. Let us know your needs — whether it’s for meat, breeding, or homestead use.

  • How do I reserve a rabbit?

Just shoot us an email at support@fieldenfamilyfarm.com or message us through the site. We require a small deposit for reservations, especially for breeding stock.

  • Do you offer live pickup or shipping?

Pickup is available at the farm by appointment. We do not currently ship live rabbits, but we can arrange local meetups depending on your location.

  • Why choose New Zealand rabbits from Fielden Family Farm?

Our rabbits are raised with intention — clean genetics, solid health, ethical care, and an environment that supports natural growth. Whether you're a first-time rabbit owner or a seasoned breeder, we’ve got you covered.

  • What colors do you offer?

Most of our New Zealand rabbits are white, which is the standard and most common variety for meat production. However, we occasionally have reds, blacks, and brokens available depending on our breeding schedule. If you’re looking for a specific color, let us know — we’ll do our best to match your request.

  • Are your rabbits pedigreed?

No, our rabbits are not officially pedigreed. We breed for consistency, health, and performance, especially for meat and homestead utility rather than show.

  • How are your rabbits housed?

Our rabbits are raised in clean, well-ventilated cages or hutches with good airflow and protection from predators and the weather. We handle them regularly to keep them calm and social.
